April 29 2002 (getsu) : "CAMPING IN PIK CHAU LAU"

OSU!! yeah! its meee! me! (sweat drop rolling down) OK, OK.. sorry!! I've been deeply neglected my homepage for a long long long time!! =_=|| ... I've been doing "other" things!! But really!! I have worked on the HK exploration part of the homepage some months ago!! I have some pictures scanned already!! i just.. . .. (ahem..) kind of.. .. forgot? +_+|||| ...

For some reason, it hit me that I haven't done anything for my homepage for a long while (except finding interesting links, *but* after finding them, i didn't bother to add them to the html, and upload it!). I did update some portions of the homepage a while ago, but it seemed that i forgot to upload it! (sweat drop rolling down).. Anyway, my link system is to cut and paste the address into notepad. Yeah, that is all.. I also "organize" them into sections such as "music", "comics", "art", etc.. When I want to go there, I just cut and paste them into the browser!! haha!! funny isn't it? People may say that it is "primitive", but I find it very useful.. . I think that not all of these links are qualified to be put onto my links page though..

Anyway, last week I had a ten page paper due on Thursday, and I practically camped here at Pik Chau Lau central 24 hours computer lab for almost the whole week and came back to my hostel in the early hours of the morning!! Here I am *again* because I have another paper due on the 30th.. It is supposed to be more than 800 words. Why 800? well, my professor didn't want to read too long essays so he said that in Chinese culture the number "8" is very good because "eight" ("baht" in cantonese) sounds like "good fortune" ("faht" in Cantonese).. so that is how it ended up to be minimally 800 words! :D :D :D

On Saturday, I watched the anime HUNTER X HUNTER (by same author as YuYu Hakusho!) dubbed in Cantonese from 12:20 to 1:40AM .. Yeah, that is in the morning!! And they show *three* episodes right after another!! wow!! It is OK, but some things are different from the comic.. but I couldn't help but laugh at some things!! Gon is "sew gon" (little gon), Leorio and Clapika sounds so funny in Cantonese too!! haha ha! They show HUNTER X HUNTER on Saturdays only. Some other anime showing is "SUPER Yo Yo", Mon Colle Knight, Doraemon, .. they did show Utena, Sorcerous Stabber Orphen in the past. I think that "Super Yo Yo" is very popular because I saw so many little kids playing with yo yos everywhere!!! (sweat drop rolling down)

Yes! The essay is finally coming together.. Its about comparing heroes both male and female in early and modern Chinese literature. Its for my introduction to Chinese Literature class. :D :D 2:42AM..

Oh, and i met the Enoki (AKA Matsumoto) in the computer lab.. some time ago... .!! AAAAHHH--- why is he here?! How did he know that I am here?!?! His reason to come was to work on his homepage, but I was the one that helped him do most of the technical stuff last time. He hadn't updated his homepage in a very very long while too! (he he he he) So he found me and said something like "hey, I want to work on my homepage! Help me, I forgot how to do it.." (sweat drop rolling down) And in the end, he just put some new Captain Tsubasa pictures up.. (sweat drop rolling down and falls down) my gosh.. strange guy!! He also tells me that there is going to be photo taking at 6 AM at the University library.. for reals!! He says that my ex-roommate Chieko wanted to see sunrise or something like that.. (sweat drop rolling down).. Actually, I sort of already seen it.. . Now it is 3:25AM,.. so only a few hours later I can see it!! :D :D I can probably camp here all night and wait .. :D but nahh-- I need to go take a shower.

April 30.2002 -la feu- : the SUNRISE IN FRONT OF UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

I camped in Pik Chau Lau until around 4 AM. For some reason, there are many exchange students there too. I said goodnight to a classmate of mine. He said that he will stay here all night. When I came back to my hostel, I saw The Girl With Flowing Robes still up and talking on the telephone in the lobby. Well, I don't know her name, so I refer to her as "The Girl With Flowing Robes" because she always wear these long robes.. and she is quite mysterious because It seems like that she never goes to sleep!! Even during vacation, she is in the computer lab typing something in Chinese. Anyway, I went back home and set the alarm at around 5:30 AM. I finally slept at around 4:20 AM. I got up at around 5:45 AM, brushed my teeth (although I just brushed my teeth about an hour ago), and downstairs in the lobby I saw The Girl With Flowing Robes still in the same position talking on the telephone. (sweat drop rolling down) Well, I guess she may wonder what I am doing and vice versa... . I then started my walk up to the university library at around 6:07 AM since the school bus haven't started running yet. A far distance ahead of me was Matsumoto.. When I reached the University Library I only saw three other people!!! They were Tami, Junko, and Matsumoto.. Where in the world are the other people!?!?!?!! Everyone looked so sleepy. BUT!! we weren't alone. On the front steps of the University Library were about 5 people just sitting down there. We all wondered what they were doing because the library doesn't open until around 8 AM!!! There were also workers and middle aged people doing exercises around.. and also Philipine Domestic workers also walking.

We waited on the steps by the stone gate structure. Some of us layed down and seemed to doze off. Finally! The next person who came is .. the KOTARO! He seemed one half dead. Once he came, he sat down and laid down on the steps. I was very bored so I took portrait shots of everyone. The next people who slowly came were Kimiko and Emi, and then Fumiko.

The only people who haven't come yet all are from Shaw!!!! Oh, how dare they! Look, how can the early people be all from Chung Chi?! The Chung Chi people have to walk up, unlike others!! So Matsumoto announced that we will make an exodus to SHAW college!! We all got up and started walking around 7 AM. And those people sitting on the front steps of the University Library seemed to have disappeared!

We walked up to Shaw College and find Sayo outside of the Kou Mou Hostel, and Eri.. and then last is Chieko!! Everyone looked so tired. We took pictures at Shaw college.. then we took the bus. We wanted to go to New Asia College.. We took many photos on the bus because we were practically the only ones on the bus!!! But then Eri wanted to take a picture of her in the driver seat, so she asked the driver.. THe driver said that he will not stop at New Asia for a few minutes, but he sill stop at Shaw college for five minutes (the bus goes on a circular route from Shaw college -> United college -> New Asia -> Shaw college). So we decided to just go back to Shaw! At Shaw college, we all took turns sitting on the driver's seat and taking photos! (sweat drop rolling down) Afterwards, we went back to New Asia and took pictures. From there, I could see a huge traffic jam on the freeway!!

Next, we decided to take pictures at United College and eat breakfast. I ate congee and Cheurng fun. It was so hot!! As we walked down the United college stairs down to central campus, we saw about 3 lizard things. I took some pictures, but KOTARO scared them away! We then went to the University main gate and took more photos.. and then to Park N Shop. Some people ran out of film! And there, we stopped at the Hang Seng Bank ATM because Matsumoto needed to withdraw some money. So the funny thing was that we all lined up behind Matsumoto, while next to him was a guy checking his account, and we took a photo! We must have scared that guy anyway!! Such a long line!! At Park N Shop, we took some more photos.. and we went next to the University Pool and took some photos.

The last stop is in Chung Chi. We took pictures of "Pigtail Road", and in the CC Canteen. I had to leave first because.. well, I have to finish editing the essay and turn it in. So I took the bus back to Central campus and went back to Pik Chau Lau at around 12PM. There, I saw my classmate in the same spot! @_@ what a long day! I sat down and later my neighbour, Ah Ying, came and sat next to me! For some reason, when I see her in the computer lab, I always see her using the same computer.. and this time is no exeption! I printed my essay, but there was a long queue. Luckily Ah Ying had a stapler and she let me use it. I hate it when I don't have a paper clip or stapler and need to fold the corners of the papers. I walked up to the Mong Man Wai Building and into New Asia college, and went to my professor's office. He wasn't in his office so I just put it in his mailbox.

AH... FINALLY! Its all over.. no more papers!! yeahhh!! I decided to go back to my hostel.. so I took the bus from New Asia.. I wanted to get off at the University Sports Centre station, but there was too many people blocking my way, so I decided to just get off at the train station and walk up. But At the Train Station, I found Ryotaro with his suitcases and luggage!! I find out that he is going to leave back to Japan!! Luckily I got off this station so I can see him off!! Later, KOTARO, Junko, Eri, Fumiko came to see him off.. (sigh) another one leaves!! so sad!! @_@

KOTARO, and Fumiko wanted to go to CLC, and I decided to return to my hostel.. I was so tired that I just plopped down on my bed... My roommate came back early and told me that she saw me and my friends at United College today.. And that her final was delayed for about 30 minutes!!! They locked all the students in the room and the students aren't allowed to look at notes or study in the meanwhile! There was a big traffic jam so many students aren't able to make it to the final on time!! (which I saw!)

gosh, what a long day, I never wake up so early in a very very long time!! I think that many people(like me) were too tired to even smile in the photos.. .
