the aftermath======================
well, friends. . . . my one year stay in Asia is now over. ..
I came back to ol' USA on July 17, 2002, exactly 1 year ago on
July 17, 2001, I left USA to study abroad in Hong Kong.
April 29 2002 (getsu) :
"CHANGES and ADJUSTMENT"
When I came back to my house, I found some changes:
new wooden round dining table in the kitchen
my room is a great mess of old computers and other things
on my desk has a great pile of letters accumulated over one year
expansion of the anime, manga, video game "library"
my sister plays Phantasy Star Online v.1 and really goes online
my oldest brother Tom is working on his puzzle game program everyday
ADJUSTMENT
some things i found hard to adjust after coming back:
all sinks have hot water: In China and Hong Kong, hot water seems
to be a luxury. Even in Hong Kong, all bathroom sinks do not have
hot and cold water. In my hostel, the only hot water is in the
kitchen and the showers. In mainland China, one must turn on the
methane gas to make hot water.. and in remote places I visited, there
wasn't any hot water in the places i stayed...
the streets are empty! : Hong Kong is very crowded and
lively even until early morning compared to Sacramento or even San
Francisco... Now the empty streets here gives me a strange feeling
of emptiness and something missing..
no car = no feet : Ah, one of the great things about Hong Kong was its
very cheap and efficient transportation system. With its subway (MTR)
and train (KCR = Kowloon-Canton Railway), buses, and even with your
own feet you can get to almost every where you want!! To use all these
facilities, all one need is to use just *one* card : Octopus card.
The Octopus card is compatible with almost all transportation systems
(even if they are with different companies), and can also be used to
buy things in 7-11 stores or grocery stores such as "Park-n-Shop".
Back here in USA, I don't have a car.. so I can't go anywhere...
toilets : to squat or not to squat? that is the question! :D :D
(joke) In mainland China, and even many places in Hong Kong and Japan,
toilets do not have a sitting down seat. Instead one must squat over
a hole-like toilet. At first this "squat toilet" needed some getting
used to.. but it has some more advantages compared to the sitting kind.
First of all, you don't have to worry about a dirty toilet seat, and
it saves time (if you have to put the toilet seat paper cover). After
getting used to this kind of toilet, it was hard to adjust back to the
sitting kind... and in Hong Kong, sometimes i find some foot prints on
the sitting toilet's seat.. I wonder if they stand on the toilet and
use it as a squatting toilet... hmmmm.
paper conservation: well, it seems that paper or tissue is quite a
precious thing in the mainland (and sometimes in Hong Kong). In China,
everyone brings their own toilet paper because practically ALL places
do not provide toilet paper for you. Of course there are a few
exceptions.. . Even the public toilets that cost money to use do not
give you free toilet paper.. You must spend a yuan or so to buy a small
pack! This seems to be the rule that everyone knows and need not to
be said.. . Sometimes when i see a place that actually provides
toilet paper, I feel as if i found gold!!
When i went to Japan, that is one whole different story..
Free tissue packets as advertisement all over!!!! One can easily
collect a boxfull in one day. So just imagine how suddenly your tissue
conservation drought has gone to the end! Free gold!
NEW DEVELOPMENT
We added some more "features" to our house:
# 3 new bookshelves
# grandmother's room converted into another entertainment room with
working VCRs, surround sound speaker system (compared with the
living room, which has none), console game systems (only Saturn and
Dreamcast), TV, and old computer.
# new antenna installed on the roof... We wanted to receive channel
26 so we went to Radio Shack to buy their strongest antenna for
$50 and an antenna rotator. The first time setting up the antenna
on an approximately 25 feet pole was an utter failure.. it fell down
about 180 degrees, my father nearly tripped over the wires two times,
and some people were tipping over! The second time was successful.
We had my third uncle and my father's co-worker come over to help.
However when we tried to turn to channel 26, it didn't even work!!!
In fact, the indoor antenna seemed to work better than the newly
installed 160" outdoor antenna!!
My brother did much antenna research on the internet and find out that
the best outdoor antennas were from Vinegard and Channel Masters.
We are now thinking of refunding the Radio Shack antenna... However!!
there are two bad things: 1)my father painted the antenna pole bright
yellow and got some paint on the antenna 2)my grandmother thought that
the antenna box was so long and bothersome so she took her time to
saw part of the box off! But, the hard part is to take down the
antenna again!!!!! ahhh!
Since i had to leave for Los Angeles, the antenna business is still
not done.. ......... maybe my family will finish the antenna business
by the time i get back to Sacramento. But this whole episode caused my
oldest brother Tom to develop a sparkling new interest in antennas..
so when we drove around, he always goes "antenna watching" (as opposed
to "bird watching").......... (sigh) well here we go.. . .
VIDEOs WATCHED:
+2001: Space Odyssey -hmmm..... .. I don't really know what to say
about this film.. my brother fell asleep watching this film.. and I
don't really understand it too much.. All I can say is that this is
a very slooow film (perhaps this is to purposely portray the mundane
tasks and boredom while traveling in space?). However, many shows
seem influenced by this movie and I found references in many places
(such as in the anime Cowboy Bebop!!!).. I don't really understand
the ending...
BEWARE, after this film, listening to the "Blue Danube" is never..
ever the same again. Before, I
imagine "Alone in the Dark", but that is no more.
+Gods must be Crazy II -Funny movie! Reminds me of those old funny
movies like "Airplane".. Imagine my first impression of the movie:
gee, is this the right tape..? Looks like National Geographic in
Africa.. ..
+Twilight of the Cockroaches-dubbed Japanese film that is also partly
animated.... so this film can be in the anime category.. It is about
cockroaches (animated) trying to live peacefully with humans.. .
There are two clans of cockroaches: one is peace loving and the other
is strict and war loving like Nazi Germany.
However, this film does not change my firm stand on cockroaches.
For cockroaches, I have *NO* mercy.. i hope they all die and be extinct.
They have been living for too long in this world.
+Texas Chainsaw Massacre - one of the movies my oldest brother
anime
+Glass Mask [GLASS no Kamen] TV (26 eps end) + OAV1,2 : I really enjoyed
this series. Glass Mask is actually based on a quite famous and old
shoujo manga (maybe from 70's?).. and that manga still hasn't finished
and is still running! It is about an ordinary young girl, Maya, who
has a passion for movies and acting. She later runs away from home
to join a theatre run by the famous actress Tsukikage-sensei.
Anyway, this is a more realistic type of anime..
The TV series is very old, so the OAVs are the redone and more modern
one. The funny difference I find between the TV and OAV is the hair
color... In the OAV, there is no more blond hair characters... Maya
has a more dark brown hair color.. Himeyama Ayumi's hair is light
brown, not blond.. etc.. @_@.. i wonder why?
"murasaki no bara no hito wa... dare?" :D
+Brother, Dear Brother [Onii-sama he...] TV (26 eps end) : I finally
watched the end of the show and find out what is the relationship
between .. uh.. I forgot the names... Sainte-Juste-sama and the head
of the sorority.. . Nanako finally stands up at the end!
+Legend of the Galactic Heroes OAV (26, first series end): The first
time watching the first episode causes your brain buffer to swell up
with the overwhelming number of characters in this show. AND, to
top it off, have them 90% to be *GERMAN* names like "Reinhart von
Lohangramme", "Kirchesis Seigfried", "Mittermeyer", "Oberstein", etc...
To start off this show, i needed lots of concentration to follow the
story. It is about war between the Galactic Empire (ruled by the
royal family and aristocrats) and the United Federation of Planets
(democracy that broke away from the Empire a long time ago). So this
story really has a true life in today's society.. Monarchy.. or
Democracy.. which is better? Which government has the "right" to
govern? Of course, both governments have many faults. In the Galactic
Empire, the government is strict and orderly, but many of the nobles and
aristocrats misuse their power over the lower class.
But, the United Federation of Planets' democracy is not
what it seems to be either. The system is corrupt and although
free speech is a given right, the free speech is secretly controlled
by the president.
The politicians constantly try to win people's vote by many crafty
tactics.. So this series is very thought provoking. Actually..
some of it reminds me of what is happening recently... about President
Bush and war.. @_@ haha... I recommend this series, but not everyone
would like such war stories or the talking, serious stories, classical
music (lots of Wagner and Dvorak..).. My brother is now collecting
and trying to make his very own Legend of the Galactic Heroes
soundtrack, BTW. So when i hear some of the music, I imagine some of
the fighting in Legend of the Galactic Heroes.. (just don't play
"Blue Danube". ...=_=||)
In the end, I feel that I like the Galactic Empire better
than the United Federation of Planets. My favorite character is
Kirchesis... but.. =_=.. Reinhart-sama..! I am afraid for Reinhart..
+Rose of Versailles [VERSAILLES no Bara] (TV): Based on the French
Revolution, it centers on the life of Marie Antoinette and the Royal
Guard Oscar de Jarjeyes. The anime is based on the manga by Riyoko
IKEDA.. and there is a French film based on the comic called "Lady
Oscar". I really like the soundtrack for this anime.. such as the
classic opening and ending theme songs.
"Oscar!!!!!!"
+Cowboy Bebop (TV): My brother borrowed a set of DVD Cowboy Bebop
from his friend.. Well, it contains Chinese subtitles.. along with
some rather amusing English subtitles.
"dare mo.. inai.. zutto.. hitori.."
+Argent Soma (TV): My brother got the set of Argent Soma on CD-ROM in
DIVX format from the Cal Animage anime club after bugging them for the
tapes too much. (how I wish the UCLA one can be like that...!)
This is a very strange show.. My brother says that some people compare
this show to Evangelion. I haven't watched Evangelion except for the
ending.. so I can't comment on that. there are so many mysteries in this
show!!!!! whatever happened to the main character?!? who is that red
haired guy that loves to recite Shakespeare? +_+
Septembre.26.2002 -donnerstag - : KAISHI.. .
=zooom= Today is the first day of school. I woke up at around
7 am to catch my 8 am discussion, only to find many other people
waiting for the TA. After waiting 15 minutes, the TA didn't show up
so we left. The next class was Evolution for 1.45 hours at 2AM. After
using powerpoint in the dark, and along with my big lunch just before,
my stamina to keep awake dropped to low levels and i began to do the
"nod". Next class was "Physicochemical biology" at 2PM. I just walked
there after Evolution class. That class had so many formulas for
1.30 hour (usually its two hours), that i was again dozing off and
couldn't understand the teacher.
well, that is right, dear friends, i am officially back in UCLA.
October.3.2002 -donnerstag - : yi ge xingxi...
Finally, a full week of school passed.. I had two quizzes today..
I had my first easy lab on Wednesday finding the boiling point for
an unknown compound and mixing some chemicals to create something
for the next lab.
For lunch, I went to the "Bomb Shelter" and got a $3.25 rice bowl
with chicken breast covered with teriyaki sauce. It tasted terrible.
I forced myself to finish most of it, but I left some rice.
The chicken is tasteless and dry, and the sauce is so salty and most of
the rice soaked up that sauce. All this and I am usually not so finicky
about food.
Well, the only good thing is that the rice is Japanese
rice. I wouldn't ever get that meal again!
On Tuesday, i happened to run into my friend who was on the same
hostel floor during my second year at UCLA ... in that new "Fresh
Fare" Ralphs supermarket. That was quite amusing for I didn't really
know anyone on campus.. Since I am a year 5 student, many people I knew
already graduated. Surprisingly, he knew that I went to Hong Kong for
one year... and how did he know? "from looking at your homepage",
answered he.. (sweat drop rolling down) (heh heh.. . I haven't updated
in a long time noni~~!! And moreover, I did update some parts but I
was so lazy that i didn't upload them yet.. ..... sigh)
Then I tried out that self-service cashier machine at Ralphs.
Well, I never seen anything like that before! So this time I decided
to try one out.
They have a computer
monitor and that scanner device for the zebra code. So this is
generally how you would use it:
1)place all your items (15 items or less) onto a square metal counter
(the computer records the weight of all your items and will know if
you took anything out).
2)flash your "Ralphs card" over the scanner.
3)select a way of payment on the screen (cash, check, credit card..).
4)you can start to scan the zebra code of an item.
a. if item is produce, you must select and press "Produce" on the
screen, then you put the produce on the scanner/weight, then you
punch in the serial number of the produce.
-->if produce doesn't have a serial number on it, you must ask an
employee
b. if item is not produce, you can just run the zebra code over the
scanner
5)after scanning in the item, you place the item in the plastic bag
next to the scanner.
6)repeat for all items.
7)payment and get reciept.
So a question is how can they trust you that you wouldn't be a
little greedy or finger happy? Answer, a a worker monitoring a small
booth with small tvs showing all your movements conveniently
lies right behind you. Yes, so is this system a really self-service
money saving, and time saving? well, I find this system ridiculously
flawed and quite useless. First of all, you still need one employee
to monitor the self-service cashiers. Secondly, its quite troublesome
if you buy produce. Third, you can't seem to "cancel". That is if
you change your mind about using the self-service cashier, you can't
just take all your items out, put it back into the basket and line
up for the regular cashier. I really wanted to do that when I couldn't
find the serial number of the onions and the person monitoring the
self-service cashiers wasn't there. So I just wanted to go to the
regular cashier.. When I put everything back into the basket, the
computer said "please put all your items back in the bag" repeatedly.
Then that employee monitoring the self-service cashiers came back and
said in an accent "no no no! PUT them back in the bag. PUT them back
in the bag!!!" =_=..
So my first try on that machine did not go too well. I remember
how amazed I was in Hong Kong seeing those Park-n-Shop cashiers do
everything so quickly!! I was amazed again when I see the American
cashiers move so slow in comparison that makes me irritated. "hurry
up, can you?" I scream inside while the cashier just slowly move on..

Monday. I had a long day today.. Class ended at 4 PM, and
afterwards I went to the Young Hall computer lab to use the computer
until it is 5 PM, which is the office hour for my chemistry lab TA.
around 4:30, all of the sudden, the fire siren went on.. Everybody
evacuated out of the building.. I waited for 45 minutes until some
of the sirens did not sound anymore... but some parts of the hallway
was still ringing so loud, i still couldn't stand it.. I went to my
TA's office hour, but no one was in the room.. so i decided to just
leave.... So after one hour, the fire siren was still ringingg..
Who knows when it really stopped? But the funny thing was that the
fire siren went on once last week too..
s I haven't been getting good sleep these days.. I always wake up
a couple of times in the early morning.. I wonder if i am thinking
too much or what.. .?
I find that I have midterms coming up .. I have two next week
on Tuesday (Physicochemical Biology) and Thursday (Evolution)..
Yes, its the third week.. so its midterms.. (sigh) study study
study.. wo yao xue xi~~~ mei you shi jian ah... -----homepage

Had my first paleontology lab today.. three hours of looking,
drawing, and answering questions at 32 different rocks, shells,
and fossils... Class was from 9 AM to 2 PM straight.. my
stomach was so hungryy~~~~~ I went to Ralphs, got some cheap eggs
(59cents for a dozen small eggs), and went home for lunch at around
4 PM. For lunch I drank my old soup in the refrigerator (maybe five
days ago) and boiled a hotdog, sliced it in half, put it on a square
bread, put ketchup, and cover it with another squaree bread. I know,
hot dogs are not healthy..

dream 1: My brother called me and told me that he already
reserved a table at Anime Expo!! @_@|| I was shocked!
i really need to get the drawings done! haha..
dream 2: Somehow my family were in our old countryside house
in China.
Outside, my father brought some strange fruit that is purple outside
and is shaped like a very big American eggplant.. Inside is kind of
like watermelon, but it has purple flesh instead of red!! So he cut
it up and each one of us tried this fruit. My father said that he
never ate this for years because America doesn't have any. It tasted
very sweet! Next thing we knew was some Chinese police came and
confiscated the fruit, many of the things we bought in China, and
my grandma's "bai sun" stuff. We asked them why do they need to do
such a thing.. They said that we should eat these fruits because they
are not "clean" enough for us (since we came from US), and that we
should not eat such local things.. The local foods are contaminated
with pollution and various things.. We must eat government approved
products. They confiscated my grandma's "bai sun" stuff because they
are too old fashioned beliefs.. We argued back at them.. and
I wake up..
hmm... strange dreams? reminds me of an incident that happened
in China though.. . I woke up at around 9:15 AM, which I think is
quite early on weekends.. I guess that I got used to waking up
everyday around 8 AM to go to class.

The dark bags under my eyes are analogous to a tree's rings in
a cross-section.
Anyway, I just finished two midterms this week.. The
physicochemical biology one was on tuesday. On thursday, I had the
evolution one, plus, .. I got the physicochemical biology back graded..
@_@... geez.. so fast!! Within two days!! now that is quite a record..
i got a 164/200.. which is OK.. Today in paleontology lab, I
looked at corals and sponges for a few hours.
The problem was that i had two midterms so i didn't really get
much sleep through the whole week. By thursday, (which i had an
eight o'clock class) I felt like a zombie.. maybe night of the living
dead? I came home after about two hours of looking at corals and
sponges (mm, very nice..) ate lunch at around 3 PM or so, then went to
start memorizing carbohydrates while listening to Beyond... then i
fell asleep and woke up around 7 PM!! @_@|| I was shocked when i
woke up! The whole apartment was dark! I now have a bit of a
headache.. maybe too much sleep..
Well, i am not going to relax right away.. I have the usual quizzes,
post-lab, prelab (organic chemistry lab), and readings for next week..
and then~~ the biochemistry midterm the week after!! I am going to
start early this time.. .
oh, i went to the anime club this week.. They show DivX files
from a laptop... the showings are:
+Azumanga Daiou: silly series about wacky high school students
+Gundam Seed (Sunrise): a "neutral" country and some kids gets caught
in a war... (sounds familiar, doesn't it? :D)
+Witch hunter Robin (Sunrise): a secret organization captures "witches"
from a society that are not aware that "witches" exist.
+Samurai Deeper Kyou (Pierrot): non-serious samurai fighting (kana?)
+Naruto: ninja school
+Hikaru no Go: about a boy who learns to play go (wei qi)
It seems all they show are the latest series.. no older stuff...
why? i'm not sure, perhaps they assume most people watched them
already? but I really doubt that most peole watched series like
Rose of Versailles, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, or Glass Mask..
but you know, i bet most of the older series are on video tape, not
in DivX format on CD.

Whee--! Just spent another few hours looking and drawing
at molluscs today.... @_@||
Went to the supermarket Ralphs (I actually enjoy going to the
supermarket.. @_@||), bought some fruits, bread, jam, cheese
(<--- for experiment).... hehe. what to do with cheese?! (twitches
fingers)... yeah, going to a supermarket is similar to preparing
for an experiment. and then cooking is the laboratory action part.
Remember kids, the organic and aqueous layer do not mix! And put
a spin stick to evenly boil the solution, eh, i mean soup!!
Came back to cook lunch, and ate lunch around 5 PM.. . I cooked
beef with onions and green bell pepper with the help of Lee Kum Kee's
black bean and garlic sauce. ("Lei Gum Gei, mui chahn pui ju nei"
-Lee Kum Kee's advertisement slogan, meaning, "Lee Kum Kee, always
accompanying you every meal", but it doesn't sound as good
translated because the "Kee" and "meal" doesn't rhyme! :D :D :D )
These days i have been eating my "elegant" instant ramen everyday,
so its a very good change..
oh, today was Homecoming, and for the first time in many many
years, UCLA is having its parade in Westwood once more! It began
at 8 PM, and at Broxton (Across Rite Aid and next to Eurochow),
they set up a stage for bands to play.. . The parade was quite
interesting.. . Most of the participants are fraternities or
sororities.. . They rented huge trucks and made the decorations
on the back.. It was funny that there was a few old cars driving
in the parade.. they didn't seem to have much relationship with
the rest!! Then, my favourite part was when I saw two "BEST BUY"
(That electronics and video store is right next to UCLA) guys
dressed up as the logo walking behind the big truck.. I really
almost fell down!!!! What is the relation!?!? And some guys
behind me yelled "GO BEST BUY!!! Woh yeah!" (Sweat drop rolling down)
@_@|| then there are some other UCLA unrelated parts of the
parade.. there was a coffee shop in westwood.. they had some
staff wearing their uniform and carrying a sign like an
advertisement.. haha.. then there was a Volkswagen modified
new beetle car to look like a fish.. it was a Sea World car..
hmm... My favourite float was probably from Alpha Chi Sigma,
the Chemistry group.. On their float, they made a huge
Erlenmeyer flask, and had girls wearing the long white lab
coats over bikinis!!! Yes, it was cold that day too!!
That was quite funny~~!! :D :D :D For the most part, many of
the old alumni participated in the parade!! :D hehe. There
were quite many people who watched the parade..
Oh, after the parade, i went to the library to use the computer
lab.. i have a midterm on monday!! While walking in Westwood,
i passed by a gallery.. usually it is empty.. but that day, it
was full like a party!! People dressed in nice clothes!! I looked
at a sign outside and it said that Leonard Nimroy is there to
sign his latest photography book!! (sweat drop rolling down)
WOW! (I like Star Trek and Mr. Spock!!! :D :D) However, looking
inside through the glass.. Wearing jeans and t-shirt, I feel
like a peasant entering a castle.. . So i didn't go in...

a requiem for... . .
Although its Halloween today, what i remember most clearly
are spiriferids, their bivalves, and their adductor and diductor
muscles. but this year, I got a small bag of candy.. from the UCLA
anime club! I didn't really wear a costume, just wore a long sleeve
black shirt from Express, short black skirt with white frills and
60 cm loose socks (from Harajuku, Tokyou), and my jean bomber jacket
bought from Guangzhou China.. My friend asked me what
character I was dressing up as.. :D
Lets do a Q&A section for a change. Since its Halloween,
what character would you like to cosplay?
ANSWER: (no Final Fantasy, please)
+female: Aisha Codante (not with the green hair though :D), fatima
Sizz or other fatimas, Rimururu, my Phantasy Star Online character,
Arle Nadja or other Puyo Puyo characters, Remi (Groove on Fight)
+male: Schezo Wegey, Kyou Kusanagi (sorry, Benimaru!), Legend of
Galactic Heroes uniform (Imperial Empire or United Federation)
.. :D
+other: Japanese high school delinquent (black sailor fuku) :D,
clothing from Chinese ancient martial art movies/novels.. (ancient
as not Qing Dynasty with the Manchu braids!!!!), Ace from Doctor
Who
Anyway, i think its kind of strange to cosplay some real people
like musicians in bands..
Anyway, i would like someone to cosplay Kenshiro from Hokuto no
Ken (Fist of the Northstar).. hmm.. i think my friend Gokiburi should
do it! He did 4 years karate! I haven't watched the live action
American movie, BTW.. but I don't anyone can have those thick necks
like in the manga!!!! :D Or capture Kenshirou's facial expression!!
:D :D hehe.. now how about some people dressing up as some of Jojo's
Bizarre Adventure characters?! Try and do some of the strange
poses!!! :D :D :D heheh... . Have some guys go dress as Lucifer
band members from Kaikan Phrase, not the real-life band Lucifer
that came from Kaikan Phrase! (that pants that Santa, the drummer,
is strange, and the singer (Sakuya) has this 1/2 shirt thing..
not so good in my taste.. :D):D

wing yuen dek..
Finally finished my horrid first midterms on Monday. On Tuesday,
thus began my second midterms.. Next Tuesday, I have another midterm.
So tired.. . I didn't get much sleep this week.
Since it was mostly studying all week, nothing interesting to
report.. The only thing other than studying was going to the anime
club on Thursday. They had a drawing workshop, and i just
participated in it. They gave everyone a handout of the "grid method".
".....hm.. haven't done this ever since High School .. in my
AP Art class.. "(sweat drops rolling down) Yes, in that AP art class,
we had a photograph (I took a photo of my dear friend) and we used a
pencil to draw in grids, then we drew grids on the real paper
where we will draw.. then you copy the photo onto the paper
grid by grid..
OH! well, something else interesting in the anime club was since
that I sat in the front (not all the way front) for the drawing
workshop, I decided to just stay there (I usually sit in the back)
and observe the kind of people who sit in the front.. ^_^||
I sat near the "Spiderman Guy", which is a guy that I always see that
wears this large Spiderman short sleeve shirt *EVERYTIME*.. its that
kind of big silky shirt that also had other "anime" such as Rurouni
Kenshin, Samurai spirits, etc. Well, he is what I imagine a "fanboy"
to be like in everyway. Noisy, annoying, and constant clatter.
He made all sorts of strange noises such as animal ones to get the
anime club members attention.. then he would appear to be talking
to himself.. mumbling stuff, and saying some phrases in Japanese
(who knows what he is rambling about!!)..... Then there was his
comment on anime.. Such as the new show that was supposed to be very
depressing like Evangelion.. its called SaiShuheiki no kanojo (or
something like that.. sweat drops rolling down.. I can read it in
Chinese, but I don't know the Japanese) meaning something like my
girlfriend, the final weapon (ok ok, its bad translation...).
After the showing, the anime club members asked the audience what
did they thought of that show.. That "Spiderman Guy" said in a
whiny voice, "Don't show that series again... Its depressing. I
don't want to be depressed". OK, most of the showings we see are
fun and non-serious stuff, but i would like to see a variation in
the showings..
hmm.. Anyway, that was my experiment
to see how the people are like who sit in the front. It was quite
a finding. I don't think that i can really stand to sit near that
Spiderman Guy again though.. hehe. Sometimes I wonder about the
concept of an anime club, club about animation.. why would so many
people get so fanatical about animation?
Some people seem to be *obsessed* or something. Is there
other clubs for other genres?
Anyway, I usually sit in the back anyway..
I can always leave when i want to and its more peace and quiet! :D :D

I've been seeing a UPS truck around my apartment at around 6 PM

dropped the package, and then there was a guy that yelled out from
his apartment very loudly, "I SAW THAT!!!"
The UPS guy then looked around! hehe.

its on Monday! Finals is coming up the week after.. . all this is not
making me feel like enjoying the holidays. .. right now, i just want to
