first taste of durian! 13.august.2004 Ha! I was at this Indonesian restaurant with my roommate, Giselle, Rudy, and Cari.. Giselle was curious about a durian dessert. My roommate asked for a small sample.. and with that first spoonful in her mouth.. she had a most funny expression of disgust on her face! haha.. No one seemed to like durian except for my roommate and I.. The dessert was quite good.. it has a coffee taste to it.. but a little too sweet! :D |

"Is that a rare enemy?" April.2004 afternoon Don't know what I was thinking.. but I imagine this dialog: FORCE: "uwa- nani, sore-" (whoah, what is that?) killy: "sa~ rare enemy jyanaika?" (well~ looks like a rare enemy..) Schezo_coli: "Rafoie!!! OI!!kora~ omae tachi wa nani surunda?!? tasukette kure yo!!" (veins popping out) I think I wanted to try to draw a picture with many characters.. I draw too many lone shots of people.. . |

"Wanna be friends?" March.2004 lab Recently, I went to the PSO World homepage and was inspired once again. I was getting kind of sleepy in lab looking at the blood smears, so I took a little break between the slides and drew this sketch of a Newman Force. Who is he reaching out to? Is he trying to make friends with a rappy? :D BTW, the face is done with ball point pen.. then I got too nervous to draw the rest in ink! So i used pencil... =_=.. low self confidence! |

Forces (fomarl and Newman Male) : April.2004 afternoon I was playing Madou Monogatari I using the Genesis emulator on the computer and was taking down notes and writing down vocabulary that I didn't know. For some reason, I started drawing some random PSO characters on that same paper. Here is a Human Female Force (Fomarl?), and a Newman Force. I can't really draw the Formarl's clothes too well. Its hard to see how it looks like on 2-D from the game!! :D |

Newman Force (female) 9.April.2004 afternoon well, it looks a bit funny.. i'm not skillfull to draw a whole body! :D so this was practice. i'm surprised how detailed it looks after scanning it. lets just say that initially, I couldn't get the leg pose correctly. it looked so funny!! well, at least it looks much better now! This sketch took around 2-3 hours to complete. Its amazing that I actually managed to finish her whole body! usually I draw the head and then get stuck on drawing the body pose.. leaving an uncomplete head.. Look at the top, and don't look at the bottom! :D Just imagine she is summoning a mag photon blast or using a technique such as foie.. . |

Schezo? in British school uniform March.2004 lab Schezo Wegey is a dark wizard from the game Madou Monogatari/Puyo Puyo. But, this guy here doesn't exactly look too much like him! Ugh, i admit that I was thinking of Schezo in the world of Harry Potter actually! He's so great that he has no need to channel his energy into a magic wand to do magic! This drawing is on the same page of that Force Newman male drawing above.. quick sketch done between looking at slides. |

Schezo + mahou : summer.2003 afternoon Originally drawn on a scrap paper in the hot summer, I used the cheap "light box" method to transfer it to a clean sheet paper.. In other words, I used the glass balcony and sunlight as a light box! I don't think it was supposed to be schezo, maybe an original character ... but oh well, they coincidentially look very similar! Don't ask about those bat wings! This drawing took a long time to create his leg pose. I'm so terrible at poses and legs... . well, I'm thinking of drawing Schezo summoning a magic circle or casting a spell.. I can't really depict the magic too well! |

Schezo + Sword of Darkness : March.2004 night At one point, I was trying to draw one drawing a day for my own homework. Well, it didn't really last too long! :D :D but at least I drew this cool sketch of Schezo! hehe. I had a hard time once again on the pose. You see, I really should plan how the whole pose works, but nope, not me. I usually sketch the head (which you can see is the most clearest), then from there, I try to find a pose. Its hard to draw him in a good pose with a sword! Then after that, i had to think up some clothes for him to wear.. I'm not so creative here.. .. |

"Ore ga kowai no ka?" : April.2004 night After many PSO and Schezo drawings, I finally try to draw some KOF (King of Fighters) art. Well, the webmaster from the KOF homepage "House of Shingo" wrote a message in my guestbook, so I felt compelled to do some KOF related drawings! After so many years, I was getting bored of Kyo's school uniform.. so I try to dress him up in different clothes.. this is really a rough sketch, but I really like how his pose turned out! Its very direct out to the viewer.. This guy doesn't really look too much like Kyo Kusanagi though.. Oh, I had to edit this image because I drew it on computer lab scrap paper.. It had the words "CLICC computer lab" written through his body.. hopefully it doesn't look that obvious! :D There is this stack of free scrap paper in the computer lab.. and I take advantage of this! |

girl in black : may.2004 I had lots of junk mail on my desk when visiting home in May. Because of my weird habit of finding waste in throwing away paper with blank spots.. I drew something on those junk washington mutual mails before throwing them away.. However, I happened to like some of those sketches.. and here is one of them.. It is done using ball point pen. So, that is why the drawing is so irregular narrow shaped! |

mysin kyoudai : may.2004 Second part of the "washington mutual junk mail series". :D This is also drawn using the same "RSVP" ballpoint pen. Here are my original characters. For now, I named the siblings "Sai K. Mysin" and "Kana Mysin". I always draw them in dynamic poses. By their facial expressions, you can tell they are the energetic type of people! For some reason, I always have Sai hold a gun, while Kana hold a sword. BTW, if you can tell where I based or got their names from, you get a PRIZE!!! :D fufufufufu.. . |

girl 1 : April.2004 night Can't think of a good name for this sketch! =_=|| I was thinking of fantasy things after reading the translated Korean comic "Ragnarok" by Myung-Jin Lee (Dive to Dream Studio). He really puts so much detail in drawing the backgrounds.. especially of Geffen, the city of magic. I think the expression on her face turned out well.. especially her smile. A good point to note is that she is facing to the right. I have this unconscious thing of drawing characters facing to the left because it is more easier and natural for the right hand to draw the facial curves in that direction! |

Rinka on her bicycle : April.2004 Rinka is the main character from a story from the artist Navi featured in my links page. She reminds me of myself in many ways! :D Well, the story is laced with various game characters and turned out to be a delightful light read. First I drew her head,.. and then somehow I tried to draw her on the bike.. its hard! hard to draw someone on a bicycle.. and hard to draw a bicycle from memory.. egads. |
